The FIU/Florida Poll is a statewide survey of 1,200 Florida residents done by SJMC’s Institute for Public Opinion Research (IPOR) every year from 1988 to 2004. The 2004 Poll was done in December 2004 and January 2005, and the 2006 Poll was done in July 2006.

Florida, like most states, faces the problem of not having enough tax money to pay for the various services and programs that it provides. One way to deal with this problem is to raise taxes. Another way to deal with the problem is to reduce services and programs. In general, which would you prefer, raising taxes, or reducing services and programs?
